Elaine Fox

Elaine Fox is Senior Policy and Performance Officer at . Her role involves helping to develop local strategies and plans, reporting on Council performance, and analysis of Government policy, particularly anything relating to welfare and financial wellbeing.
Elaine has lived in Nottingham City since the age of six and studied English at Nottingham Trent University, acting as both a Student and Faculty representative. She is passionate about supporting people and ensuring equal opportunities for all, regardless of where someone lives, and wants to help improve outcomes for Nottingham residents through her work and volunteering. Elaine strongly supports NCE’s mission of using research and policy development to address the needs of local communities.
Elaine is a member of the Nottingham Financial Resilience Partnership (NFRP), a group which works to improve financial wellbeing in the city, and she was one of their first trustees when they achieved charitable status.
Elaine believes everyone should have access to quality education, and support this through her role as Chair of Governors of two Nottingham City primary schools. She plays an active role to support the work of staff, engage with parents and help improve educational outcomes through monitoring and challenge.
Elaine is also a Trustee and Treasurer of the charity (ROEF). The organisation works to improve the lives of people living, working and growing up in the Nottingham North constituency, with a particular focus on health and wellbeing, employment and skills, arts and creativity, and community.
