Introduction:

Course dates:

The creative industries are evolving fast, and AI is at the heart of this transformation.

Yet, while the potential is clear, the path to integrating AI into creative workflows often feels overwhelming.

This interactive workshop is a free taster to NTU’s short course ‘Mastering AI for Creative Practices’.

It’s designed for creative professionals, team leaders, decision-makers, and business owners who want to cut through the hype and gain clarity on AI’s role in the creative process.

  • Be part of a creative community; one that promotes discussion, collaboration and experimentation.
  • Take away ideas to continue developing in your workplace.
  • Learn from an experienced tutor who has established links to the design professions.
  • Meet other creative practitioners and network over refreshments.

What you’ll study

In just two hours, your tutor will introduce you to:

  • AI and generative AI – what it is, why it matters and common myths
  • AI’s impact on the creative industries – how it’s changing workflows and creating opportunities and challenges
  • AI readiness – discover where you stand and how to confidently move forward.

This practical session will help you move beyond theory into application, giving you the knowledge and confidence to make informed decisions about AI in your work.

By the end of the session, you’ll have ideas about how to integrate AI into your business.

You will appreciate where it adds value and how to strike the right balance between efficiency, creativity, and human connection.

8:30 am: Refreshments and registration

Yvonne Richardson is a marketing strategist with over 20 years of innovation experience, specialising in the practical application of AI in the creative process.

A provocateur and critical thinker, her training courses draw from her background in psychology, data-driven marketing and brand-building.

Yvonne has hopped across companies, freelancing gigs, hit burnout (and bounced back), moved into academia, launched an idea and evolved it into a business - and made plenty of mistakes along the way.
